A successful tennis swing depends on your grip. Many beginners make the mistake of gripping the racket to tightly or loosely, and end up either missing the ball, making improper contact, or even having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. Another important thing to be aware of is that your forehand swing path should be straight from the beginning and then curve upwards towards the top of your body as you approach the top of your follow through.
