Tennis players with an open stance forehands should try to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by putting the racket behind your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should hold the racket above their head and over their shoulders. The racket should face your crotch if left handed, and it should face your waist if left handed. This will stop the over-the head swing and the under-the-shoulder swing from happening.
