Most times, tennis players struggle when they hit forehands due to the fact that they don’t know how to engage the correct muscles for their forehands or in which order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands due to lack of knowledge on how to position themselves to hit a solid backhand down the court. So, these two crucial areas of the game must to be addressed by those who want to be successful in the game.

A successful tennis swing is contingent on the grip you use. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket too tightly or too loosely and end up hitting the ball too far or making an incorrect contact or having the racket fall off when they swing at the ball. The best method to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket correctly in the right position.

Another important thing to be aware of is that your forehand swing path should be straight from the beginning and then curve upwards towards the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow through. This is referred to as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc starts with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine what kind of shots you should be practicing. If you’re practicing the bank shot technique, your forehand swing path will naturally curve toward the top as you get closer to the ball.

Moving your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and ability generate power. In order to get your arm to rotate properly, you must be able to grip the club. A weak grip can result in injury. It can cause you not to hit the ball or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injury.

The angle of your stance is another important factor in ensuring the grip you have. Tennis beginners are typically right-handed and wear their right hand slung across the body. For beginners the left arm is typically carried over their body. Most coaches suggest holding the club with an even grip, or in a similar way to a baseball posture. The club should be held in a neutral position will help prevent you from having a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehands tend to have problems with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand, they are more likely to turn their wrists and do not have a proper grip. A great solution to this issue is to hold the racket using an even grip. Tennis players with open stance forehand must try to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by putting the racket behind your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant handed should swing the racket in front of their head and over their shoulders. The racket should point towards your crotch if a right handed player and the racket should be pointing towards your waist if you are left-handed. This will stop the head-over-head swing or the under-the-shoulder swing from happening. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips to ensure that you don’t give either side of your body any space to swing.
