A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket too tightly or loosely and end up missing the ball, making improper contact, or even having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. The best way to strike the ball correctly is to keep the racket correctly in the right position.

The other thing you need to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should start out straight and then curve toward the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow-through.
