The grip is the most critical aspect of an effective tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too tightly or loosely, and end up either hitting the ball too far or making an incorrect contact or having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will give you the best opportunity to strike the ball correctly every time.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should curve towards your top. This is referred to as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc would have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will influence the type of shots that you must be learning. If you are working on the bank shot technique, your forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball as you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders are always in contact with the ball, allowing your arms to swing freely. When you swing, your shoulders must not leave the socket of your racquet. If this happens, it could be very difficult to catch the ball.

When you are approaching the ball, ensure that your arm is directed from your side , not to your backside. Rotating your arms to the side could decrease your power and ability to generate power. You need a solid grip to control your arm’s movement. A weak grip can lead to injuries. It could cause you to not to hit the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injury.

Another crucial aspect of the proper grip is the angle of your stance. Most tennis beginners are right handed and have their right arm slung across their body. The left arm of beginners is usually slung over their body. Most coaches suggest holding the club with an even grip, or in a manner similar to a baseball position. The club should be held in a neutral position can ensure that you don’t have an arm that is not dominant during your swing.

Forehand tennis players with open stances tend to have problems with their forearms. If a player has an open-stance forehand, they tend to over-turn their wrists and not have a proper grip. This problem can be solved by using a neutral grip. Closed grips are best for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by putting the racket behind your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should swing the racket over their head and over their shoulder. If you’re a left handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a left-handed player, it should face towards your waist. This will help prevent either the swing that is over the head or the under-shoulder swing from happening. Keep your wrists straight when you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t allow any side of your body too much room.
