The grip is the most critical element of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding their racket too tight or loosely and then miss the ball making poor contact, or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball in the right way every time.
Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is known as a cut shot or high arc. A low arc or hook will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine the kind of shots you need to be practicing. If you’re practicing the bank shot technique your forehand’s swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

You must have a strong grip to control your arm’s movement. A weak grip could cause injury. It could cause you to miss the ball or cause you to overextend your arms. This can result in injury.
The angle of your stance is another important factor in ensuring an effective grip. Tennis beginners are typically right-handed and wear their right hand draped across their body. For beginners their left arm is usually carried over their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club with the neutral grip or like a baseball position. A neutral grip can stop you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.
Open stance forehand tennis players are more likely to have problems with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have problems with their grip. This issue can be resolved by using neutral grip. Closed grips are best for players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket in front of your skull, with your knees bent and your elbows locked.
Tennis players who have a non-dominant handed should swing the racket above their head and above their shoulders. The racket should be facing your crotch if left handed, and it should face your waist if you are left-handed. This will stop the over-the head swing and the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring.
