The grip is the most crucial element of a successful tennis swing. Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. As you approach the top of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should curve towards your top. A neutral grip will prevent you from swinging with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehands tend to have problems with their forearms. Forehands with an open stance tend to have problems with their grip. A great solution to this problem is to hold the racket with a neutral grip. Closed grips are the best choice for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be done by placing the racket on your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a dominant hand should move the racket over their head and over their shoulder. If you’re a right-handed player the racket should be facing your crotch.
