A successful tennis swing is contingent on your grip. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket to tightly or too loosely and end up missing the ball or making a poor contact or even having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will provide you with the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should curve towards your top. This is known as a high arc or cut shot. A low arc or hook will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. If you are working on the bank shot technique your forehand’s swing course will naturally curve towards the top as it gets closer to the ball.

Remember to always swing with your shoulders squared with the ball. This helps keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball as your arms swing freely. When you move your arms, your shoulders should not be able to leave the socket of your racquet. It could make it extremely difficult to catch the ball when this occurs.

When you are approaching the ball, make sure to rotate your arm from your side, not from your backside. The arm that is rotated on your side can weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and generate a good backswing. You need a solid grip to control the rotation of your arm. Having a weak grip can be dangerous since it can cause you to miss the ball or it can cause you to overextend your arm. This could cause injury.

Another key factor in the correct grip is the angle of your stance. Tennis beginners tend to be right-handed and have their left hand spread across their body. For beginners, their left arm is typically carried across their body. Most coaches recommend using an even grip, or in a similar way to a baseball position. Holding the club in a neutral position will ensure that you don’t have a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehand are more likely to have issues with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have problems with their grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket in an upright grip. Closed grips are ideal for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your skull, your knees bent, and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant handed should swing the racket above their head and above their shoulders. If you’re a left handed player the racket should point towards your crotch. If you’re a left-handed player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will prevent the swing that is over the head or the swing under the shoulder from occurring.
