A successful tennis swing is contingent on your grip. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. Open stance forehand tennis players tend to have problems with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have problems with their grip. One way to address this problem is to hold the racket using an even grip. Closed grips are ideal for tennis players who have an open forehand.
