A successful tennis swing is dependent on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tightly or loosely and end up hitting the ball too far, making improper contact, or having the racket break off when they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to hold the racket in the proper position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should curve towards your top. This is referred to as cut shots or high arc. A hook with a low arc starts with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors can affect the kind of shots you need to master. If you’re practicing the bank shot technique, your forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders squared with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball and allow your arms to swing freely. Remember that your shoulders must not be removed from the socket or racquet when you swing. If this happens, it will be very difficult to take the ball back.

As you approach the ball, be sure to rotate your arm from your side, not your backside. Rotating your arm to the side will weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and generate a good backswing. In order to get your arm to move properly you need to hold a firm grip on the club. A weak grip can be extremely dangerous as it could cause you to miss the ball or it could cause you to extend your arm. This can result in injuries.

Another important aspect in the correct grip is the angle of your stance. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm slung across their bodies. The left arm of beginner players is often carried over their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club in the neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. A neutral grip will prevent you from swinging with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand tend to have issues with their forearms. Forehands with an open stance tend to have issues with their grip. A great way to solve this problem is to hold the racket with an even grip. Closed grips are best for players with an open forehand. You can achieve this by placing the racket on your skull, with your knees bent and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should move the racket above their head and above their shoulders. If you’re a right-handed player the racket should be facing your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will stop the over-the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from happening. When you swing, keep your wrists straight, and keep them down your hips so that you do not give either side of your body a chance to swing.
