Tennis is a very popular sport. Everyone can play tennis, from beginners to pros. Tennis players can be divided into two broad categories based on their level to hit the ball further and higher than a forehand or a backhand. Most times, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they don’t know how to properly use the right muscles for their forehands and in what order to hit strong forehands. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands because of lack of knowledge on how to position themselves in order to hit a good backhand down the court. So, these two crucial areas of the game must to be addressed by those who want to excel at the sport.

A successful tennis swing is contingent on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they hit the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball in the right way every time.

The other thing you need to keep in mind is that your forehand swing should begin straight and then curve upwards towards the top of your body as you approach the top of your follow-through. This is called cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low arc will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. For example, if you are practicing a technique known as the bank shot your forehand swing path will naturally move towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Keep your shoulders in line with the ball whenever you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball which allows your arms to swing with ease. Keep in mind that the shoulders must never move away from the socket or the racquet while you are swinging. If this happens, it could be extremely difficult to capture the ball.

When you get close to the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and ability generate power. To get your arm to rotate properly you need to hold a firm grip on the club. A weak grip can be extremely dangerous as it can cause you to be unable to catch the ball, or it can cause you to overextend your arm. This could lead to injury.

The angle of your stance is also an important factor in ensuring the grip you have. The majority of tennis players are right handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. For those who are just beginning, their left arm is typically carried across their body. Most coaches suggest holding the club with an even grip, or in a similar way to a baseball posture. By holding the club in a neutral position will help prevent you from having a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehand are more likely to have issues with their forearms. Forehands with an open stance tend to have issues with their grip. This problem can be solved by holding the racket with an upright grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehand should attempt to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by putting the racket behind your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players with a non-dominant hand should swing the racket above their head and then over their shoulder. If you’re a right-handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will prevent the over-the head swing and the under-the shoulder swing from occurring. When you swing keep your wrists straight, and keep them down your hips, making sure you don’t give either side of your body any room to swing.
