Tennis is among the most loved sports in the world. Anyone can play tennis, from beginners to pros. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their skill level to hit the ball farther and higher than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players are often unable to hit forehands due to inexperience with how to effectively engage their muscles and what order to hit strong forehands. Likewise, tennis players also struggle with their backhands as they do not know enough about the proper way to position themselves to hit a perfect backhand on the court. These two areas are crucial to the sport and must be addressed.

The grip is the most critical element of the successful tennis swing. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball making poor contact, or having their racket slip when they swing at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another important thing to be aware of is that your forehand swing path should start out straight and then curve upwards towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow-through. This is referred to as a high arc or cut shot. A low arc or hook will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will influence the kind of shots you should be learning. For instance, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot your forehand swing will naturally turn toward the top as you get closer to the ball.

Be sure to keep your shoulders squared with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders remain in constant contact with the ball and allow your arms to swing with ease. While you swing, your shoulders should not move away from the socket of your racquet. This can make it extremely difficult to catch the ball when this occurs.

As you approach the ball, make sure to rotate your arm from your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arms to your side can actually reduce your power and ability generate power. You must have a strong grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip could be extremely dangerous as it could cause you to miss the ball or it could cause you to extend your arm. This could result in injuries.

The angle of your stance is also an important factor in ensuring the grip you have. Most tennis beginners are right handed and have their right arm stretched across their bodies. The left arm of newbies is often slung across their body. Most coaches advise that you hold the club with a neutral grip or similar to a baseball position. Holding the club in a neutral position can help prevent you from having a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand are more likely to have problems with their forearms. If a player has an open stance forehand they tend to over-turn their wrists and not have a good grip. A great solution to this problem is to hold the racket using an even grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehands should try to hold the racket with a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your skull, your knees bent and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should swing the racket above their head and over their shoulders. If you’re a right handed player the racket should point towards your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should face towards your waist. This will prevent the over-the-head swing or the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight when you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any part of your body too much space.
