Tennis is among the most loved sports in the world. It is a sport everyone can play, from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be divided into two broad categories based on their level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players often struggle to hit forehands due to inexperience with how to properly engage their muscles in to do to hit forehands that are strong. These two areas are crucial to the game and need to be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is dependent on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will give you the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top. This is known as a cut shot or high arc. A low arc or hook would start out with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. For example, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot, your forehand swing will naturally shift towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Be sure to keep your shoulders aligned with the ball. This helps to keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball even as your arms swing freely. Be aware that your shoulders must not leave the socket or your racquet when you swing. It can make it very difficult to catch the ball when this occurs.

When you get close to the ball, be sure to move your arm to your side, not your backside. The arm that is rotated on your side actually weakens your ability to generate energy and create a great backswing. To allow your arm to rotate properly you need to hold a firm grip on the club. A weak grip could be very dangerous because it can cause you miss the ball or it could cause you to extend your arm. This could lead to injuries.

Another important aspect in the correct grip is the angle you stand at. The majority of tennis players are right handed and have their right arm slung across their bodies. For beginners the left arm is usually carried across their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club in an open grip or similar to a baseball position. By holding the club in a neutral posture will aid in preventing an arm that is not dominant during your swing.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand tend to have problems with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand they tend to over-turn their wrists and not have a proper grip. This issue can be resolved by using an upright grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehand must try to hold the racket with a closed grip. This can be accomplished by placing the racket on your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players that have a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket over their head and then over their shoulder. The racket should face your crotch if left handed and the racket should be pointing towards your waist if you’re left handed. This will prevent the over-the head swing and the under-the shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight while you swing. Also, ensure you don’t allow any side of your body too much space.
