The grip is the most crucial element of a successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they hit the ball. The best way to strike the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the correct position.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing should be straight from the beginning and then curve upwards towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow-through.
