Tennis is a hugely popular sport. Anyone can play tennis, from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be divided into two broad categories based on their to hit the ball further and higher than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players often struggle to hit forehands due the lack of knowledge on how to effectively engage their muscles and what to do to hit forehands that are strong. Likewise, tennis players also struggle with backhands due to the fact that they do not know enough about the proper way to position themselves to hit a nice backhand down the court. These two areas are essential to the game and need to be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is contingent on your grip. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket in a way that is too loose or tight and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket correctly in the right position.

The other thing you need to remember is that your forehand swing path should begin straight and then curve upwards towards the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow through. This is known as a high arc or cut shot. A hook with a low arc would have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine the kind of shots you should be practicing. For instance, if you are practicing a technique known as the bank shot your forehand swing path will naturally shift towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball. This helps keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball as your arms swing freely. Remember that your shoulders must not be removed from the socket or racquet when you swing. It can make it very difficult to take the ball back if this happens.

As you approach the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and your ability generate power. To get your arm to move properly it is essential to be able to grip the club. A weak grip can cause injury. It could cause you to lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could lead to injury.

Another important aspect in the correct grip is the angle of your stance. Tennis beginners tend to be right-handed and have their left hand spread across their body. For those who are just beginning the left arm is usually carried over their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club in a neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. A neutral grip will stop you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.

Tennis players that have an open stance forehand are more likely to have problems with their forearms. Open stance forehand players tend to have problems with their grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket in neutral grip. Closed grips are ideal for tennis players who have an open forehand. This can be done by placing the racket on your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket over their heads and over their shoulder. The racket should point towards your crotch in case you are a right handed player, and it should face your waist if you are left-handed. This will prevent the over-the head swing and the under-the shoulder swing from happening. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, make sure you don’t allow any side of your body too much space.
