A successful tennis swing depends on your grip. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket in a way that is too loose or tight and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will provide you with the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.
The other important factor to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should begin straight and then curve towards the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow-through. Open stance forehand tennis players are more likely to have issues with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have problems with their grip. A great solution to this issue is to hold the racket with an even grip. Tennis players with open stance forehand must try to have a closed grip. You can achieve this by placing the racket in front of your skull, your knees bent, and keeping your elbows locked.
Tennis players that have a dominant hand should move the racket over their heads and over their shoulder. The racket should face your crotch if you are an right-handed player, and it should face your waist if you’re left-handed. This will prevent the head-over-head swing or the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, ensure you don’t give any side of your body too much room.
