Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket too tightly or too loosely, and end up either missing the ball, making improper contact, or having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top.
