Tennis is a very popular sport. Everyone can play tennis from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their skill level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or backhand. Most often, tennis players have difficulty when they hit forehands due to the fact that they aren’t aware of how to engage the proper muscles for their forehands or in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Likewise, tennis players also struggle with their backhands as they aren’t aware about the proper way to set themselves up to hit a nice backhand down the court. These two areas are vital to the game and must be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is dependent on your grip. Many beginners make the error of gripping the racket to tightly or too loosely, and end up either not hitting the ball, making improper contact, or having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will provide you with the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top. This is known as cut or high arc shot. A low arc or hook starts with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will influence the kind of shots you should be learning. If you are working on the bank shot technique, your forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Keep your shoulders in line with the ball when you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders remain in constant contact with the ball and allow your arms to swing with ease. When you swing, your shoulders must not move away from the socket of your racquet. It could make it extremely difficult to capture the ball in the event that this occurs.

As you approach the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually decrease your power and ability to generate power. To allow your arm to rotate correctly you need to be able to grip the club. A weak grip could be very dangerous because it can cause you be unable to catch the ball, or it could cause you to overextend your arm. This can result in injuries.

Another important aspect in the correct grip is the angle of your stance. The majority of tennis players are right handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. For beginners, their left arm is typically carried over their body. Most coaches advise that you hold the club in the neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Tennis players that have an open stance forehand tend to have problems with their forearms. If a player has an open stance forehand they tend to over-turn their wrists, and they do not have a good grip. A great way to solve this problem is to hold the racket with an even grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehand must try to use a closed grip. This can be done by putting the racket behind your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players that have a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket over their heads and over their shoulder. If you’re a right-handed player the racket should be facing your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will stop the over-the-head swing or the swing under the shoulder from happening. Keep your wrists straight when you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any part of your body too much space.
