Tennis is a very popular sport. Everyone can play tennis, from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their ability level to hit the ball farther and higher than a backhand or forehand. Most often, tennis players have difficulty when they hit forehands due to the fact that they do not know how to use the right muscles for their forehands or in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Also, tennis players struggle with backhands because they do not know enough about how to properly position themselves for a nice backhand down the court. These two areas are vital to the game and must be addressed.

A successful tennis swing depends on your grip. Many new players make the mistake of holding their racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball making poor contact, or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. Holding the racket the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as a cut shot or high arc. A low arc or hook would start out with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. If you are practicing the bank shot technique the forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Be sure to keep your shoulders squared with the ball. This helps keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball even as your arms swing freely. Remember that your shoulders must not move away from the socket or the racquet when you swing. If this happens, it can be extremely difficult to capture the ball.

When you get close to the ball, make sure to rotate your arm from your side, not your backside. By putting your arm on your side can weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and generate a good backswing. To allow your arm to rotate properly you need to have a strong grip on the club. A weak grip can lead to injuries. It can cause you lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This can result in injury.

The angle of your stance is an important factor in ensuring the grip you have. Most tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm stretched across their bodies. The left arm of newbies is usually slung over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with a neutral grip or like a baseball position. A neutral grip can stop you from hitting with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Forehand tennis players who have an open stance tend to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they are more likely to turn their wrists and not have a proper grip. One way to address this issue is to hold the racket with a neutral grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehand should attempt to hold the racket with a closed grip. You can achieve this by placing the racket on your skull, your knees bent, and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant hand should hold the racket above their head and over their shoulders. The racket should point towards your crotch in case you are an right-handed player, and it should face your waist if you are left handed. This will help prevent either the head-over-head swing or the under-the-shoulder swing from happening. Keep your wrists straight when you swing. Also, ensure you don’t give any side of your body too much space.
