Tennis is a hugely popular sport. It is a sport everyone can play, from beginners to pros. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their level to hit the ball further and higher than a backhand or forehand. Tennis players often struggle to hit forehands due a lack of knowledge about how to properly engage their muscles in to do to hit forehands that are strong. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands due to lack of understanding about how to position themselves in order to hit a good backhand down the court. These two areas are crucial to the game and need to be addressed.

The grip is the most crucial aspect of a successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball making poor contact, or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the correct position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low arc will begin with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will affect the type of shots you should be learning. If you’re practicing the bank shot technique the forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball as you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball which allows your arms to move freely. When you move your arms, your shoulders should not move away from the racquet’s socket. If this happens, it could be extremely difficult to take the ball back.

As you approach the ball, be sure to rotate your arm from your side, not your backside. Moving your arm to the side could reduce your power and ability generate power. You need a solid grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip could be very dangerous because it could cause you to miss the ball or it can cause you to overextend your arm. This could result in injuries.

Another crucial aspect of the proper grip is the angle you stand at. The majority of tennis players are right handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. The left arm of beginners is often carried over their body. Most coaches suggest holding the club with a neutral grip, or a style similar to a baseball position. A neutral grip will prevent you from swinging with an arm that is not dominant.

Forehand tennis players who have an open stance tend to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand they tend to over-turn their wrists and do not have a proper grip. This issue can be fixed by holding the racket with an upright grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehands should try to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your skull, your knees bent and your elbows locked.

Tennis players with a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket over their head and over their shoulders. The racket should be facing your crotch if left handed and the racket should be pointing towards your waist if left-handed. This will stop the over-the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from happening. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any part of your body too much space.
