Tennis is among the most played sports played in the world. Everyone can play tennis from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their ability level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players often struggle to hit forehands due inexperience with how to effectively engage their muscles and what order to hit strong forehands. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands due lack of understanding about how to position themselves in order to hit a solid backhand down the court. This is why these two essential areas of the game need to be addressed by those who want to be successful in the game.

A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket too tightly or loosely, and end up either hitting the ball too far or making an incorrect contact or having the racket fall off when they swing at the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will give you the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

The other thing you need to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should start out straight and then curve towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow through. This is referred to as a high arc or cut shot. A hook with a low arc will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine the kind of shots you need to be practicing. For instance, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot, your forehand swing path will naturally move towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders aligned with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are always in contact with the ball which allows your arms to swing with ease. Remember that your shoulders must not be removed from the socket or tennis racquet during your swing. It could make it extremely difficult to capture the ball if this occurs.

When you get close to the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm on your side can weaken your ability to generate power and produce a strong backswing. You must have a strong grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip could cause injury. It can cause you lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injury.

The angle of your stance is also an important factor in ensuring a good grip. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm slung across their bodies. For beginners the left arm is usually slung across their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with a neutral grip or like a baseball position. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehands tend to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they tend to over-turn their wrists, and they do not have a proper grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket with neutral grip. Tennis players with open stance forehand must try to hold the racket with a closed grip. This can be accomplished by placing the racket over your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should hold the racket over their head and above their shoulders. If you’re a right-handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will prevent the over the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, make sure you don’t give any part of your body too much space.
