A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding their racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will give you the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.
The other important factor to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should start out straight and then curve towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow-through.
