The grip is the most important aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of gripping the racket to tightly or loosely and end up missing the ball, making improper contact, or having the racket break off when they swing at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball accurately every time.

The other thing you need to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight from the beginning and then curve towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow-through.
