Tennis players can be grouped into two broad categories based on their level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or a backhand. Most times, tennis players struggle when they hit forehands due to the fact that they don’t know how to properly engage the proper muscles for their forehands and in what order to hit strong forehands. Likewise, tennis players also struggle with their backhands as they do not know enough about the proper way to position themselves to hit a nice backhand down the court. This is why these two essential areas of the game must to be addressed by those who wish to be successful in the game.

A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many beginners make the error of holding their racket in a way that is too loose or tight and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The best way to strike the ball correctly is to hold the racket in the proper position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you approach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should curve towards your top. This is referred to as a cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low arc will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will influence the type of shots that you need to master. If you are working on the bank shot technique, your forehand swing path will naturally curve toward the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball when you swing. This will keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball while your arms are free to move. Keep in mind that the shoulders must never leave the socket or your tennis racquet during your swing. It can make it very difficult to capture the ball when this occurs.

When approaching the ball, ensure that your arm is directed from your side , not your backside. Rotating your arm to the side could reduce your power and your ability to generate power. You need a solid grip to control the rotation of your arm. A weak grip can result in injuries. It can cause you lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could cause injury.

The angle of your stance is another crucial factor to ensure a good grip. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. For those who are just beginning the left arm is usually slung across their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club in a neutral grip or like a baseball position. A neutral grip can stop you from swinging with an arm that is not dominant.

Forehand tennis players with open stances are more likely to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open-stance forehand, they tend to over-turn their wrists and do not have a good grip. This problem can be solved by using an upright grip. Tennis players with open stance forehand must try to use a closed grip. This can be done by placing the racket on your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant handed should swing the racket above their head and over their shoulders. The racket should be facing your crotch if you are a right handed player, and it should face your waist if you are a left handed player. This will prevent the over the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring.
