A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many beginners make the error of holding their racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they hit the ball. Holding the racket the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball in the right way every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. The angle of your stance is an crucial factor to ensure a good grip. Most tennis beginners are right-handed and have their right arm slung across their bodies. The racket should point towards your crotch if an right-handed player and should be facing your waist if you’re left-handed.
