Tennis is among the most loved sports in the world. It is a sport everyone can play, from beginners to professional. There are two major types of tennis players. They can be classified according to their ability to hit the ball further than a forehand or backhand. Most times, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they aren’t aware of how to properly use the right muscles for their forehands and in which order to hit powerful forehands. Also, tennis players struggle with backhands due to the fact that they don’t know enough about how to set themselves up to hit a nice backhand down the court. So, these two crucial areas of the game need to be addressed by those who wish to excel at the sport.

A successful tennis swing is dependent on your grip. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket to tightly or loosely and end up hitting the ball too far, making improper contact, or having the racket fall off while they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to hold the racket correctly in the right position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top. This is called a high arc or cut shot. A hook with a low angle will have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors can affect the type of shots you need to master. If you are working on the bank shot technique the forehand swing course will naturally curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball as you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders remain in constant contact with your ball, allowing your arms to swing with ease. Be aware that your shoulders must never leave the socket or your tennis racquet during your swing. If this happens, it could be extremely difficult to take the ball back.

As you approach the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and ability to generate power. To get your arm to rotate properly it is essential to hold a firm grip on the club. A weak grip can lead to injuries. It could cause you to miss the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injuries.

Another important aspect in the proper grip is the angle of your stance. Most tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. The left arm of beginner players is often carried over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with a neutral grip or like a baseball position. By holding the club in a neutral position will aid in preventing a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehand tend to have issues with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand, they are more likely to turn their wrists and not have a good grip. One way to address this issue is to hold the racket with a neutral grip. Tennis players with open stance forehand must try to use a closed grip. This can be accomplished by placing the racket on your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players with a non-dominant hand should swing the racket over their head and over their shoulder. If you’re a left handed player the racket should point towards your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will prevent the swing that is over the head or the swing under the shoulder from occurring. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips, making sure you don’t give either side of your body a chance to swing.
