A successful tennis swing is contingent on the grip you use. Many beginners make the error of holding their racket in a way that is too loose or tight and then miss the ball, making poor contact or having their racket slip when they swing at the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will provide you with the best chance to hit the ball in the right way every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should curve towards your top. This is referred to as a high arc or cut shot. A low arc or hook will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will affect the kind of shots you should be learning. For instance, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot your forehand swing path will naturally shift towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Keep your shoulders in line with the ball whenever you swing. This helps to keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball while your arms are free to move. When you swing, your shoulders must not leave the socket of your racquet. This can make it extremely difficult to take the ball back in the event that this occurs.

When you approach the ball, make sure that your arm is pointed from your side and not your backside. Rotating your arm to the side will weaken your ability to generate power and generate a good backswing. In order to get your arm to rotate correctly, you must have a strong grip on the club. A weak grip can lead to injury. It can cause you miss the ball or cause you overextend your arms. This could cause injuries.

This can be done by placing the racket on your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant hand should hold the racket above their head and over their shoulders. If you’re a left handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will stop the head-over-head swing or the swing under the shoulder from occurring. Keep your wrists straight when you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any part of your body too much space.
