Tennis is among the most played sports in the world. Everyone can play tennis from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be grouped into two broad categories based on their ability to hit the ball more and higher than a backhand or forehand. A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many beginners make the mistake of holding their racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the proper position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing should start out straight and then curve upwards towards the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow through. This is known as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc will have an inherent wrist hinge as well as wrist extension. These factors will influence the type of shots that you need to master. This could result in injury.

Another important aspect in the proper grip is the angle you stand at. Most tennis players are right handed and carry their right arm across their body. The left arm of beginner players is often carried over their body. Most coaches recommend using a neutral grip, or in a manner similar to a baseball grip. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehands tend to have problems with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have problems with their grip. A great way to solve this problem is to hold the racket using a neutral grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehand must try to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket in front of your skull, with your knees bent, and keeping your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should swing the racket above their head and then over their shoulder. The racket should be facing your crotch if you are an right-handed player and the racket should be pointing towards your waist if you are a left handed player.
