The grip is the most important element of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of gripping the racket too tight or loose, and end up either missing the ball, making improper contact, or even having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. As you approach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top.
