Tennis is a very popular sport. Everyone can play tennis from beginners to pros. Tennis players can be grouped into two broad categories based on their level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players are often unable to hit forehands due to inexperience with how to properly engage their muscles and in what is the best way to hit powerful forehands. The grip is the most crucial aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will provide you with the best chance to strike the ball correctly every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s path should be straight. As you approach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should curve towards your top. This is referred to as a cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low arc would start out with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. If you are working on the bank shot technique the forehand swing path will naturally curve toward the top as it gets closer to the ball.

Remember to always swing with your shoulders squared with the ball. This helps to keep your shoulders in constant contact with the ball while your arms swing freely. When you swing, your shoulders should not move away from the socket of your racquet. If this happens, it will be very difficult to catch the ball.

When you get close to the ball, be sure to rotate your arm from your side, not your backside. By putting your arm on your side actually weakens the ability of your arm to generate power and produce a strong backswing. You need a solid grip to control the rotation of your arm. A weak grip can lead to injury. It can cause you lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This can result in injury.

Another important aspect in the proper grip is the angle you stand at. Tennis beginners are typically right-handed and wear their right hand spread across their body. The left arm of newbies is usually slung over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with the neutral grip or like a baseball position. The club should be held in a neutral position will aid in preventing an arm that is not dominant when you swing.

Forehand tennis players with open stances are more likely to have issues with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand they tend to over-turn their wrists, and they do not have a good grip. One way to address this issue is to hold the racket using a neutral grip. Closed grips are the best choice for players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your skull, with your knees bent, and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket above their head and then over their shoulder. If you’re a left handed player the racket should be facing your crotch. If you’re a left-handed player, it should face towards your waist. This will help prevent either the head-over-head swing or the under-shoulder swing from happening. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips, making sure you do not give either side of your body any space to swing.
