Tennis is one of the most played sports played in the world. Tennis is a game that anyone can play from beginners to professional. Tennis players can be divided into two broad categories based on their skill level to hit the ball more and higher than a backhand or forehand. Most often, tennis players have difficulty when they hit forehands due to the fact that they aren’t aware of how to properly engage the proper muscles for their forehands, and in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Likewise, tennis players also struggle with backhands due to the fact that they do not know enough about the proper way to set themselves up to hit a great backhand down the court. This is why these two essential aspects of the game have to be addressed by those who wish to excel at the game.

The grip is the most crucial element of an effective tennis swing. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tightly or loosely and end up hitting the ball too far or making an incorrect contact or even having the racket fall off while they swing at the ball. The best way to strike the ball correctly is to hold the racket in the correct position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should curve towards your top. This is called cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low angle will have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you should be practicing. If you are working on the bank shot technique your forehand’s swing is likely to curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Remember to always swing with your shoulders in line with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball which allows your arms to swing with ease. While you swing, your shoulders must not move away from the socket of your racquet. If this happens, it will be very difficult to capture the ball.

When you approach the ball, ensure that your arm is pointing from your side and not your backside. Rotating your arms towards your side can decrease your power and ability generate power. In order to get your arm to move properly you need to have a strong grip on the club. A weak grip could result in injuries. It can cause you lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injuries.

Another important aspect in the proper grip is the angle you stand at. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and wear their right hand slung across the body. For beginners their left arm is usually carried across their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with the neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. Holding the club in a neutral position can ensure that you don’t have a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Forehand tennis players with open stances tend to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they tend to over-turn their wrists, and they do not have a good grip. This issue can be fixed by using an upright grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehands should try to use a closed grip. This can be accomplished by putting the racket behind your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should hold the racket over their head and above their shoulders. The racket should be facing your crotch if you are a right handed player, and it should face your waist if left handed. This will help prevent either the swing that is over the head or the under-shoulder swing from occurring. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips so that you do not give either side of your body any room to swing.
