Tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world. Everyone can play tennis, from beginners to pros. There are two main types of tennis players. They are classified based on their ability to hit the ball farther than a forehand or backhand. Most often, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they do not know how to properly engage the proper muscles for their forehands, and in which order to hit powerful forehands. Also, tennis players struggle with their backhands as they do not know enough about the proper way to properly position themselves for a great backhand down the court. These two areas are vital to the game and need to be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is dependent on your grip. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too tightly or too loosely and end up missing the ball or making an incorrect contact or having the racket fall off when they swing at the ball. The best method to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the correct position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should be curved towards your top. This is known as cut shot or high arc. A low arc or hook starts with a more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine what type of shots you should be practicing. For instance, if, for example, you are practicing a technique known as the bank shot, your forehand’s swing path will naturally shift towards the top as you move closer to the ball.
