Tennis is among the most played sports played in the world. Tennis is a sport that anyone can play from beginners to professional. There are two primary categories of tennis players. They can be classified based on their ability to hit the ball further than a forehand or backhand. Most often, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they do not know how to use the right muscles for their forehands and in which order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands because of lack of understanding about how to properly position themselves to hit a strong backhand down the court. This is why these two essential areas of the game need to be addressed by those who wish to excel at the sport.

The grip is the most crucial element of an effective tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of gripping the racket to tightly or too loosely and end up missing the ball or making an incorrect contact or even having the racket fall off while they are swinging at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will provide you with the best chance to strike the ball correctly every time.

The other thing you need to be aware of is that your forehand swing should begin straight and then curve upwards towards the top of your body when you get to the top of your follow-through. This is called cut shots or high arc. A low arc or hook would start out with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will affect the type of shots that you should be learning. For instance, if, for example, you are practicing a technique that is known as the bank shot, your forehand’s swing path will naturally move towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball when you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders remain in constant contact with the ball which allows your arms to swing with ease. While you swing, your shoulders must not be able to leave the racquet’s socket. If this happens, it will be extremely difficult to capture the ball.

When you are approaching the ball, make sure that your arm is pointing from your side and not your backside. Rotating your arm on your side can weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and create a great backswing. In order to get your arm to rotate properly it is essential to have a strong grip on the club. A weak grip could be very dangerous because it can cause you lose the ball or can cause you to overextend your arm. This could result in injury.

Another key factor in the correct grip is the angle you stand at. Tennis beginners tend to be right-handed and have their right hand spread across their body. For beginners the left arm is usually slung over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with an open grip or similar to a baseball posture. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.

Open stance forehand tennis players tend to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they are more likely to turn their wrists, and they do not have a proper grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket with an upright grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehand should attempt to have a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket in front of your skull, your knees bent, and keeping your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant handed should swing the racket in front of their head and over their shoulders. If you’re a right handed player the racket should point towards your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will prevent the head-over-head swing or the swing under the shoulder from happening. When you swing, keep your wrists straight and lower your hips so that you don’t allow either side of your body any room to swing.
