Tennis is a hugely popular sport. Everyone can play tennis, from beginners to professionals. There are two primary categories of tennis players. They can be classified based on their ability to hit the ball further than a backhand or forehand. Most often, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they do not know how to properly engage the proper muscles for their forehands and in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands due insufficient knowledge about how to position themselves to hit a solid backhand down the court. These two areas are vital to the sport and must be addressed.

The grip is the most critical aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball making poor contact, or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The best method to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the proper position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc would have an inherent wrist hinge as well as wrist extension. These factors will determine what type of shots you should be practicing. For instance, if, for example, you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot your forehand swing path will naturally shift towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Remember to always swing with your shoulders squared with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball which allows your arms to swing with ease. When you swing, your shoulders must not move away from the socket of your racquet. It could make it extremely difficult to capture the ball when this occurs.

When you get close to the ball, ensure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and your ability to generate power. To allow your arm to rotate correctly, you must hold a firm grip on the club. A weak grip could result in injuries. It could cause you to not to hit the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This can result in injuries.

Another key factor in the proper grip is the angle of your stance. Most tennis players are right handed and carry their right arm across their bodies. For those who are just beginning their left arm is typically carried over their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club in a neutral grip or similar to a baseball position. A neutral grip will stop you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand tend to have problems with their forearms. Open stance forehand players tend to have problems with their grip. This issue can be fixed by using neutral grip. Closed grips are best for players with an open forehand. This can be done by placing the racket on your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a dominant hand should move the racket above their head and then over their shoulder. The racket should point towards your crotch if you are an right-handed player and should be facing your waist if you are left handed. This will prevent the over-the head swing and the under-the-shoulder swing from happening. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips so that you don’t allow either side of your body a chance to swing.
