The grip is the most crucial element of an effective tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket too tight or loose and end up missing the ball, making improper contact, or having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. The best method to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the correct position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s path should be straight. As you approach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should curve towards your top. This is known as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc will have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you should be practicing.
