Tennis is one of the most played sports in the world. Everyone can play tennis from beginners to professionals. Tennis players can be grouped into two broad categories based on their skill to hit the ball further and higher than a backhand or forehand. Most times, tennis players struggle when they hit forehands due to the fact that they aren’t aware of how to properly engage the proper muscles for their forehands and in which order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands because of lack of knowledge on how to position themselves in order to hit a good backhand down the court. These two areas are essential to the sport and must be addressed.

The grip is the most important aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too tight or loosely and then miss the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they hit the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will provide you with the best chance to strike the ball correctly every time.

The other important factor to be aware of is that your forehand’s swing path should begin straight and then curve towards the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow through. This is called a cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low arc will begin with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. A weak grip could lead to injury. It could cause you to lose the ball, or cause you to overextend your arms. This could result in injury.

The angle of your stance is an important factor in ensuring an effective grip. The majority of tennis players are right handed and have their right arm slung across their body. The left arm of beginners is often slung across their body. Most coaches suggest holding the club with a neutral grip or a style similar to a baseball posture. The club should be held in a neutral position will aid in preventing a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players that have an open stance forehands tend to have problems with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they tend to twist their wrists and not have a good grip. This problem can be solved by using a neutral grip. Closed grips are the best choice for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should hold the racket over their head and over their shoulders. If you’re a right-handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will prevent the over the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, ensure you don’t give any side of your body too much space.
