Tennis players are often unable to hit forehands due to the lack of knowledge on how to effectively engage their muscles and what to do to hit forehands that are strong. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands due lack of understanding about how to position themselves in order to hit a strong backhand down the court. These two areas are crucial to the game and need to be addressed.

The grip is the most crucial aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and then miss the ball, making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they hit the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will give you the best chance to hit the ball in the right way every time.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should be curved towards your top. This is known as a high arc or cut shot. A hook with a low arc will have an inherent wrist hinge as well as wrist extension. These factors will influence the type of shots you should be learning. A great way to solve this issue is to hold the racket using a neutral grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehands should try to use a closed grip. This can be accomplished by placing the racket on your head while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players with a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket above their head and over their shoulders. If you’re a right-handed player, the racket should face your crotch.
