A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tightly or too loosely, and end up either hitting the ball too far, making improper contact, or even having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. The best way to strike the ball correctly is to keep the racket correctly in the right position.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should curve towards your top. Another crucial aspect of the proper grip is the angle you stand at. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and have their right hand spread across their body. The left arm of newbies is usually slung over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with an open grip or similar to a baseball position. By holding the club in a neutral position can aid in preventing an arm that is not dominant when you swing.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand are more likely to have issues with their forearms. If a player has an open stance forehand they tend to twist their wrists and not have a proper grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket with an upright grip. Closed grips are ideal for players with an open forehand.
