A successful tennis swing is contingent on your grip. Many beginners make the mistake of gripping the racket too tightly or loosely, and end up either not hitting the ball or making an incorrect contact or even having the racket fall off while they swing at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to hold the racket in the correct position.
The other thing you need to remember is that your forehand swing path should begin straight and then curve toward the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow through. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that is not dominant.
Tennis players who have open stance forehand are more likely to have problems with their forearms. Open stance forehand players tend to have problems with their grip. This problem can be solved by holding the racket with a neutral grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehands should try to hold the racket with a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket on your skull, with your knees bent, and keeping your elbows locked.
Tennis players who have a non-dominant handed should swing the racket above their head and over their shoulders. The racket should point towards your crotch if left handed, and it should face your waist if a left handed player.
