Tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world. Tennis is a sport that everyone can play, from beginners to pros. Tennis players can be grouped into two broad categories based on their ability level to hit the ball more and higher than a forehand or a backhand. Most times, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they don’t know how to use the right muscles for their forehands, and in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Also, tennis players struggle with backhands because they aren’t aware about the proper way to set themselves up to hit a nice backhand down the court. These two areas are vital to the game and need to be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is contingent on the grip you use. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too tightly or loosely, and end up either missing the ball or making an incorrect contact or having the racket break off when they swing at the ball. The best method to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the proper position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is called cut shots or high arc. A hook with a low angle will have a natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine the type of shots you should be practicing. For example, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot, your forehand swing path will naturally turn toward the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball as you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders remain in constant contact with the ball which allows your arms to move freely. While you move your arms, your shoulders should not leave the racquet’s socket. If this happens, it could be very difficult to catch the ball.

When you get close to the ball, make sure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arms towards your side can reduce your power and ability generate power. You need to have a strong grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip can result in injuries. It can cause you miss the ball or cause you overextend your arms. This can lead to injuries.

Another important aspect in the proper grip is the angle of your stance. Most tennis players are right handed and have their right arm slung across their bodies. For beginners the left arm is usually slung across their body. Most coaches advise that you hold the club with the neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. The club should be held in a neutral position can help prevent you from having an arm that is not dominant during your swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehand are more likely to have issues with their forearms. If players have an open-stance forehand, they are more likely to turn their wrists, and they do not have a proper grip. A great solution to this issue is to hold the racket with a neutral grip. Closed grips are ideal for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket behind your skull, your knees bent, and keeping your elbows locked.

Tennis players who have a dominant hand should move the racket over their heads and then over their shoulder. The racket should point towards your crotch in case you are a right handed player, and it should face your waist if you’re left-handed. This will prevent the over-the head swing and the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring. When you swing keep your wrists straight and lower your hips so that you don’t allow either side of your body any space to swing.
