The grip is the most crucial aspect of the successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket too tightly or too loosely and end up hitting the ball too far or making a poor contact or having the racket fall off while they swing at the ball. By holding the racket in the correct way will give you the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.
Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is called cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low angle will have an inherent wrist hinge as well as wrist extension. These factors can affect the type of shots that you need to master. If you are practicing the bank shot technique the forehand swing is likely to curve towards the top as you get closer to the ball.

Forehand tennis players with open stances are more likely to have problems with their forearms. Forehand players with an open stance are more likely to have issues with their grip.
