By holding the club in a neutral posture will ensure that you don’t have an arm that is not dominant during your swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehands tend to have problems with their forearms. If a player has an open-stance forehand, they tend to twist their wrists and not have a good grip. A great solution to this issue is to hold the racket using a neutral grip. Closed grips are best for tennis players with an open forehand. This can be achieved by placing the racket in front of your skull, with your knees bent, and your elbows locked.

Tennis players that have a hand that is not dominant should swing the racket above their head and over their shoulder. If you’re a right-handed player the racket should be facing your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will prevent the over-the head swing as well as the under-the-shoulder swing from occurring.
