Most times, tennis players struggle when they hit forehands due to the fact that they don’t know how to use the right muscles for their forehands or in which order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also struggle with their backhands due to lack of knowledge on how to properly position themselves to hit a solid backhand down the court. So, these two crucial aspects of the game have to be addressed by those who want to be a pro at the sport.

The grip is the most crucial element of a successful tennis swing. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket too tight or loose and end up missing the ball or making an incorrect contact or having the racket fall off when they are swinging at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to keep the racket in the proper position.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand’s swing path should be straight. When you reach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as a high arc or cut shot. A low arc or hook starts with a more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors will determine what kind of shots you should be practicing. If you’re practicing the bank shot technique your forehand’s swing path will naturally curve toward the top as you get closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball when you swing. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball which allows your arms to move freely. Remember that your shoulders should never be removed from the socket or racquet while you are swinging. It can make it very difficult to catch the ball if this occurs.

As you approach the ball, ensure to move your arm to your side, not your backside. Rotating your arm to the side will weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and generate a good backswing. You must have a strong grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip could result in injury. It could cause you to lose the ball or cause you overextend your arms. This could lead to injuries.

The angle of your stance is an important factor in ensuring a good grip. Tennis beginners tend to be right-handed and have their right hand slung across the body. For beginners their left arm is usually slung over their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with a neutral grip or similar to a baseball position. A neutral grip will prevent you from hitting with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Tennis players that have an open stance forehand tend to have issues with their forearms. Forehands with an open stance tend to have issues with their grip. One way to address this problem is to hold the racket using an even grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehands should try to hold the racket with a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket in front of your skull, keeping your knees bent and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant handed should swing the racket over their head and above their shoulders. If you’re a right-handed player the racket should point towards your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will help prevent either the swing that is over the head or the swing under the shoulder from happening. When you swing, keep your wrists straight, and keep them down your hips so that you don’t give either side of your body a chance to swing.
