The left arm of beginner players is often slung across their body. Most coaches recommend holding the club with an even grip, or in a similar way to a baseball position. A neutral grip will stop you from hitting with an arm that isn’t dominant.
Tennis players that have an open stance forehands tend to have issues with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand they tend to twist their wrists, and they do not have a proper grip. One way to address this issue is to hold the racket with an even grip. Closed grips are the best choice for tennis players with an open forehand. You can achieve this by placing the racket on your skull, keeping your knees bent, and your elbows locked.
Tennis players who have a dominant hand should move the racket over their heads and over their shoulder. If you’re a right-handed player, the racket should face your crotch. If you’re a left-handed player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will stop the over-the head swing and the under-the shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any side of your body too much space.
