Tennis is among the most played sports played in the world. It is a sport anyone can play from beginners to professional. There are two major categories of tennis players. They can be classified according to their ability to hit the ball further than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players typically struggle to hit forehands due a lack of knowledge about how to properly engage their muscles and what order to hit strong forehands. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands because of lack of understanding about how to properly position themselves to hit a strong backhand down the court. These two areas are essential to the game and must be addressed.

A successful tennis swing is contingent on your grip. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too tight or loosely and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or having their racket slip when they hit the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will give you the best opportunity to hit the ball in the right way every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand’s path should be curved towards your top. This is called cut or high arc shot. A low arc or hook would start out with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These factors can affect the kind of shots you need to master. For example, if you are practicing a technique referred to as the bank shot your forehand’s swing path will naturally move towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Remember to always swing with your shoulders aligned with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are always in contact with the ball and allow your arms to swing freely. Be aware that your shoulders must never move away from the socket or the racquet when you swing. If this happens, it could be very difficult to capture the ball.

When you are approaching the ball, ensure that your arm is pointing from your side , not to your backside. Rotating your arm to your side can actually reduce your power and ability to generate power. You must have a strong grip to control your arm’s rotation. A weak grip can lead to injury. It could cause you to miss the ball or cause you overextend your arms. This can result in injury.

The angle of your stance is another important factor in ensuring a good grip. The majority of tennis players are right-handed and have their right hand draped across their body. For those who are just beginning their left arm is usually carried across their body. Most coaches recommend that you hold the club with the neutral grip or similar to a baseball posture. By holding the club in a neutral position can help prevent you from having a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Tennis players with open stance forehand are more likely to have problems with their forearms. If players have an open stance forehand, they tend to over-turn their wrists and do not have a proper grip. This issue can be resolved by holding the racket with a neutral grip. Tennis players with an open stance forehand should attempt to use a closed grip. This can be achieved by putting the racket behind your head, while your knees are bent and your elbows are locked.

Tennis players who have a non-dominant hand should move the racket over their head and above their shoulders. If you’re a left handed player the racket should be facing your crotch. If you’re a lefthanded player, it should be facing towards your waist. This will help prevent either the head-over-head swing or the under-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight while you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any side of your body too much room.
