Tennis is a very popular sport. Tennis is a sport that anyone can play from beginners to professional. Tennis players can be classified into two broad categories based on their ability level to hit the ball farther and higher than a backhand or forehand. Most times, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they don’t know how to properly engage the correct muscles for their forehands and in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands due to insufficient knowledge about how to properly position themselves to hit a solid backhand down the court. These two areas are crucial to the game and need to be addressed.

A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of gripping the racket too tightly or loosely and end up hitting the ball too far, making improper contact, or having the racket fall off while they swing at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will give you the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

The other thing you need to be aware of is that your forehand swing should start out straight and then curve towards the top of your body as you approach the top of your follow-through. This is called cut or high arc shot. A low arc or hook would start out with the more natural wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will affect the type of shots that you should be learning. For instance, if, for example, you are practicing a technique that is known as the bank shot, your forehand swing path will naturally shift towards the top as you move closer to the ball.

Always keep your shoulders in line with the ball. This will ensure that your shoulders are in constant contact with your ball and allow your arms to swing with ease. Be aware that your shoulders must not move away from the socket or the tennis racquet during your swing. This can make it extremely difficult to take the ball back if this happens.

When you are approaching the ball, ensure to move your arm to your side, not from your backside. Rotating your arm to the side could decrease your power and ability generate power. In order to get your arm to rotate correctly, you must be able to grip the club. A weak grip can be extremely dangerous as it could cause you to be unable to catch the ball, or it could cause you to extend your arm. This could cause injuries.

Another crucial aspect of the correct grip is the angle you stand at. Most tennis beginners are right handed and have their right arm stretched across their bodies. For beginners the left arm is usually carried over their body. The majority of coaches suggest that you hold the club with a neutral grip or similar to a baseball position. The club should be held in a neutral position will help prevent you from having a non-dominant arm when you swing.

Open stance forehand tennis players are more likely to have issues with their forearms. When players with an open stance forehand they tend to twist their wrists and not have a good grip. One way to address this problem is to hold the racket with an even grip. Tennis players who have open stance forehands should try to have a closed grip. This can be achieved by placing the racket behind your skull, with your knees bent and your elbows locked.

Tennis players who are non-dominant hand should move the racket in front of their head and above their shoulders. The racket should be facing your crotch if you are an right-handed player, and it should face your waist if left-handed. This will prevent the over-the-head swing or the under-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, make sure you don’t give any side of your body too much room.
