Most times, tennis players struggle with their forehands as they don’t know how to engage the proper muscles for their forehands, and in which order to hit powerful forehands. In the same way, tennis players struggle with backhands because they do not know enough about the proper way to properly position themselves for a great backhand down the court. This is why these two essential areas of the game must to be addressed by those who want to be successful in the game.

The grip is the most important aspect of a successful tennis swing. Many beginners make the error of gripping the racket to tightly or loosely, and end up either not hitting the ball or making an incorrect contact or having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will give you the best opportunity to strike the ball correctly every time.

Another important thing to remember is that your forehand’s path should be straight. As you get closer to the top end of your follow-through, your forehand’s swing path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as cut or high arc shot. A hook with a low arc would start out with an easier wrist hinge and wrist extension. These aspects will determine what kind of shots you need to be practicing. When approaching the ball, make sure that your arm is directed from your side and not to your backside. The arm that is rotated on your side can weaken the ability of your arm to generate power and generate a good backswing. To get your arm to move properly it is essential to have a strong grip on the club. A weak grip could be very dangerous because it can cause you to be unable to catch the ball, or it could cause you to extend your arm. This could result in injuries.

Another crucial aspect of the correct grip is the angle of your stance. Most tennis players are right-handed and have their right arm stretched across their body. If you’re a left-handed player, the racket should be pointing towards your waist. This will help prevent either the swing that is over the head or the under-shoulder swing from occurring. Keep your wrists straight as you swing. Also, ensure that you don’t give any part of your body too much room.
