Most often, tennis players have difficulty with their forehands as they aren’t aware of how to use the right muscles for their forehands and in the right order to hit powerful forehands. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands due lack of understanding about how to properly position themselves to hit a strong backhand down the court. This is why these two essential aspects of the game have to be addressed by those who wish to be successful in the sport.

A successful tennis swing is dependent on your grip. Many beginners make the error of holding the racket too tightly or too loosely, and end up either missing the ball or making an incorrect contact or having the racket break off when they are swinging at the ball. The best way to hit the ball correctly is to hold the racket correctly in the right position.

The other important factor to keep in mind is that your forehand swing should start out straight and then curve toward the top of your body as you reach the top of your follow-through. This is referred to as cut shot or high arc. A hook with a low angle will have an inherent wrist hinge as well as wrist extension. These factors can affect the type of shots you should be learning. The left arm of newbies is usually slung over their body. The majority of coaches advise using a neutral grip or a style similar to a baseball posture. A neutral grip can stop you from hitting with an arm that isn’t dominant.

Tennis players who have open stance forehand tend to have issues with their forearms.
