They can be classified according to their ability to hit the ball further than a forehand or backhand. Tennis players also have trouble with their backhands due to lack of knowledge on how to position themselves to hit a solid backhand down the court. The grip is the most critical element of an effective tennis swing. Many beginners make the mistake of holding the racket in a way that is too loose or tight and end up missing the ball, making poor contact or having their racket slip when they swing at the ball. Holding the racket the right way will provide you with the best chance to hit the ball accurately every time.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your forehand swing path should be straight. When you reach the top of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should be curved towards your top.
