A successful tennis swing depends on the grip you use. Many new players make the mistake of holding the racket too loose or tight and end up missing the ball and making poor contact or letting their racket slide when they swing at the ball. The right way to hold the racket in the right way will provide you with the best chance to strike the ball correctly every time.
Another important thing to remember is that your forehand swing path should be straight. As you approach the top end of your follow-through, your forehand swing path should be curved towards your top. This is referred to as cut or high arc shot.
